Pa. school district auctioning its fully

Aug. 27—Typically, people perusing the Municibid website are seeking something like a used public works truck, or perhaps looking to pick up an extra snowblower without spending a ton of money on a new model.

But if you're looking to get into the food truck business, the site can get you started in a big way, courtesy of a northwestern Pennsylvania school district.

The Fort LeBoeuf School District in Waterford, Erie County, is auctioning its "Taste of the Herd" food truck, which comes fully equipped with a 40-pound fryer, two-burner stovetop, 24-inch flat-top griddle, double-well steam table, hand sink, stand-up refrigerator, a 7,000-watt generator and more.

The truck is being auctioned off through Municibid, where public entities can offload used equipment. The starting price of $30,000 has been bid up to $50,000, and the auction ends Sept. 4.

The truck is a 2003 P42 Workhorse with an 8-cylinder diesel engine and automatic transmission. It has just over 46,000 miles on the odometer.

For more information or to place a bid, visit Municibid.com and enter the listing number, 58047921, on the "Advanced Search" page.

Proceeds from the truck's sale will benefit the Fort LeBoeuf School District.
